Stonewood Design began work on the building in 2017, with the aim to breathe new life into and create a permanent base for their growing architectural practice.
The Design Museum is currently hosting a new exhibition titled "how to build low-carbon homes," highlighting innovative methods for creating environmentally friendly housing.
The task that faced Andrew Wallace Architects, a studio situated in Manchester, was to infuse renewed vitality into this fragmented building, converting it into a contemporary residence all the while conserving its historical essence.
The brief included a new side extension to provide Large kitchen & living space with existing kitchen within the building becoming a separate Dining room and ground floor shower room
