In light of recent events the charity is determined to make 10x10 bigger and better than ever before.
10x10 London is Article 25’s flagship fundraising event, raising vital funds to support the charity’s work. The event takes its name from the grid of 100 squares laid over an area of London, this year the artists will draw the 10X10 Brixton Grid and will shift the focus from the built environment to human interaction to portray the cultural diversity that makes Brixton so special. This year’s participants include Anthony Gormley, Zaha Hadid Architects, Charles Holland, Richard Meier, Rafael Viñoly, Karl Singaporewala, Wolfgang Buttress, Peter Murray, Sam Jacob, Jock McFadyen, Tom Hunter, Antoni Malinowksi, Will Alsop and Eva Jiricna.
10x10 is one of the standout events in the architecture world’s calendar and Article 25 are looking to end the year on a high. All funds raised from this year’s auction will go towards Article 25’s essential projects to improve the standard of health in the developing world.
Last year the 10x10 auction raised a significant amount of support for Article 25. The money raised went on to support Article 25’s healthcare projects in the developing world.
Sunand Prasad, Article 25′s Chair of Trustees, said:
This year's 10x10 event will once again be held at the home of British architecture, the RIBA, with wonderful sketches, drawings, paintings, photographs and 3D work up for the highest bid. Every pound raised by 10x10 is multiplied by Article 25 and its in-country partners to provide a far more valuable improvement in life chances in some of the most vulnerable communities around the world. I am confident that with a growing number of supporters we can make 10x10 2016 the best yet
