NEO/CRAFT is set to open their first showroom in Summer 2016. The label’s new studio and exhibition space will be housed within the Perlon-Labor, an historic, lovingly restored former laboratory and factory near the banks of Berlin’s Rummelsburger See.

Neo/Craft was founded in 2014 by Sebastian Scherer upon winning the Lexus Design Award for the prototype of his pendant light Iris. The label’s debut collection launched at the imm cologne in January 2015 and has since been honoured with the Interior Innovation Award 2015, World Interior News Award 2015, and the German Design Award 2016.

All of Neo/Craft’s pieces are produced in Germany and distributed worldwide. Combining traditional craftsmanship with modern production techniques, Neo/Craft is defined through its distinctive approach to materials and development processes. In addition to the current focus on aluminium, steel, glass and wood, the constant search for new directions is at the core of Neo/Craft’s practice.

Neo/Craft's current collection was designed by Sebastian Scherer:

Iris
Awards: German Design Award 2016 Winner, World Interiors News Award Winner 2015, Interior Innovation Award 2015 Winner, Grand Prize Lexus Design Award 2014

The result of ambitious craftsmanship and technological innovation, Iris is the perfect illusion of a permanent, iridescent soap bubble. The starting point of each Iris pendant light is a mouth blown glass globe. A dichroic coating creates the impression of movement and ever changing colours. An OLED module provides both the light source and the mount.

Isom
Awards: German Design Award Winner 2016, Interior Innovation Award 2015 Selection

The Isom Square and Isom Oblong side tables create intriguing optical illusions, conjuring images of isometric cubes when viewed from certain angles. The effect is created through an innovative CNC-processing of traditional plate glass, combined with a millimetre-precise bonding technique.

Loop Series
Awards: German Design Award Special Mention 2016

Previously composed of the Loop Table, Loop Chair and Loop Rack, this product collection will expand to include the Loop Stool and Loop Bench for 2016. This series is based on the idea of folding two-dimensional forms into three-dimensional objects and is characterised by flowing forms and organic construction. The tips of the lightweight yet stable aluminium frames barely touch the ground, lending each piece an almost floating elegance.

Diamond

Its clean lines and hexagonal, laser-cut geometric shape lend the Diamond pendant light a unique silhouette. Playing with light and shadow, its form shifts when viewed from different angles, appearing at times wider or slimmer.

Inspired by the architecture of the industrial era, each Steel Stand features three identical triangles. The star- ting point is a sheet of steel which is laser cut and then folded for stability. The 5mm thin edge of the optional, solid wood Steel Stand Table top echoes the filigree trestles.

Rubber Mat
Whether used as a place setting, coaster or just for decoration, the hexagonal cuts of environmentally friendly rubber can be combined in any of the its eight colour variants in durable, yet playful arrays.
