For the latest episode of Nowness' Sharing Plates, trailblazing chef Jeremy Lee shares his kitchen secrets with celebrity favourite fashion designer—and good friend—Giles Deacon.
Lee has made a name for himself for his seasonal approach to cooking, at the helm of Soho haunt Quo Vadis, including his world-famous eel sandwich, first introduced during his 16-year tenure as head chef of Blueprint Café at The Design Museum.
Deacon cut his teeth at fashion houses Bottega Veneta and Gucci, before launching his namesake brand in 2003, taking the Best New Designer award at the British Fashion Awards and cementing himself as part of a new wave of down-to-earth characters that defined fashion in the early Noughties, including fellow designer Henry Holland and model Agyness Deyn.
Here, Lee shows Deacon how to make his famous eel sandwich, while the pair talk taste, friendship, and the similarities in their creative approaches.
