On their tenth anniversary, END. opened their new flagship store in the heart of Newcastle’s city centre, taking over a five storey Grade 1 listed building.
END. opened in 2005, with a vision of bringing the best in global fashion & menswear to the North East, and subsequently online.
The flagship store which has been designed by the co-founders Christiaan Ashworth & John Parker will serve as a showcase for the diverse collection of international brands, housing them in a contemporary, airy space. Furnished in Carrera marble and concrete, the store features other elements such as brushed steel, reclaimed brickwork and natural maple wood.
The store spans three floors, including a dedicated launch event space featuring a floor-to-ceiling video wall. The basement is dedicated to cutting-edge sportswear and leading Japanese brands including; Adidas, BAPE, Neighborhood, New Balance, Nike, Palace, Visvim, and WTAPS.
Housing contemporary menswear, the ground floor features curated collections from A.P.C, Comme des Garçons, Gosha Rubchinskiy and Stone Island along with pieces from famed Scandinavian labels Acne, Norse Projects and Our Legacy.
Moving up to the first floor the offering expands to include pieces from iconic French houses Lanvin, Moncler and Saint Laurent sit alongside AMI, Dries Van Noten, Thom Browne and Valentino.
Architectural photographer Peter Cook – whose work led him to being awarded an Honorary Fellowship from the Royal Institute of British Architects – shot the store prior to its launch with a series of images capturing the store’s contemporary design.
