Curb appeal is a huge factor to pay attention to, especially when you are in the process of putting your house on the market. First impressions matter, and the first impression your house makes is made by the exterior that greets visitors even before they enter your property.

Fortunately, there are a lot of simple – and budget-friendly – things you can do to boost your curb appeal and add accents to the exterior of your property. In this article, however, we are going to focus more on the accents that add the most impact. Let’s get started, shall we?

Refresh Your Siding
If your house uses vinyl or wooden siding, now is the perfect time to update them. There weren’t that many options when it came to sidings in the past, but manufacturers are responding to the growing demand for more colors and textures today.

Vinyl siding offers the best balance between great looks, a wealth of options, and manageable cost. Aside from the usual neutral colors, you can now find siding in colors that actually complement the rest of the property.

Get Busy with the Paintbrush
Siding replacement may seem like a big project to tackle and it is not for everyone. If you would rather do something more minor, then it is time to visit your local paint shop and pick up some exterior pain in the shade of your choice.

Paint is marvelous and easy to work with. You can have the paint shop scan any color you like for reproduction. Give the shop 15 minutes and you will have durable exterior paint in the exact shade of your choice. Get busy with a paintbrush and add accents to the exterior in no time.

Use Veneers
Another way to add stunning accents to the exterior of your house is by using veneers. My personal favorite is the natural stone veneer that is now available in different shades and colors. Not only will you be adding interesting colors to the exterior, you will also be creating a warmer ambience for the entire property.

Natural stone veneers are very easy to work with. They are easy to install and don’t require special handling at all. Even better, you don’t have to worry about excessive maintenance in the future since products from the likes of Kafka Granite are designed to be immensely durable.

Let There Be Light
The one thing that many homeowners often neglect when trying to boost their properties’ curb appeal is lighting. Lighting may not have an impact during the day, but the right lights can alter how your house looks entirely at night.

LED lights certainly make your options wider when it comes to lighting the exterior of the house. Due to the low power consumption, many exterior lights are now designed to draw power directly from the sun and be completely wireless. This means you also have more freedom in positioning the lights to your liking.

There are still so many things you can do to boost the curb appeal of your house. Fine-tuning the entrance, air sealing the home, adding a gorgeous landscape, and even changing the color of your roof all have different impacts. For now, however, stick to the tips we covered in this article and enjoy that boost in curb appeal immediately.
